The City of Saginaw is celebrating the official renaming of Second Avenue to “Roosevelt Austin Avenue” in honor of Saginaw Community Activist and Pastor Emeritus of Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend Dr. Roosevelt Austin, Sr., for the impact that he has had in the Saginaw community, State of Michigan and these United States.
The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and the program ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by entertainment ending at 8:00 p.m. Includes live music, vendors and community fellowship with family and friends. Entry into Huntington Event Park for this event is free; however, food vendors will be on site.
