Security, Bags & Cashless Policies

The Dow Event Center has a bag and cashless policy for all events. Please note that re-entry is not allowed once you’ve gone through security. We are a smokeless facility. No smoking or vaping is allowed on the premises.

Cashless Policy

Only credit cards and debit cards will be accepted at all points of purchase, including parking. Shows that have tour merchandise may have a different policy and it will vary by show.

Bag Policy

The following bags are allowed:

Small clutches no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ x 2″ (do not have to be clear)
Clear bags no larger than 12″x6″x12″ (1 gallon)
Bags for medical or parenting needs (do not have to be clear)*

*Bags in the medical/essential category will be screened by security personnel. Guests with parenting/medical bags must enter through the main entrance of the building to undergo additional security screening.

Security/Prohibited Items List

In the interest of everyone’s safety, the following items may NOT be brought into The Dow Event Center or Jolt Credit Union Event Park:

No guns, knives, or weapons of any kind including pepper spray, mace, or toy/fake weapons
No fireworks or explosive devices
No outside food or beverage items
No bottles, cans, glass, or liquid containers
No alcohol or illegal substances
No smoking/vaping
No aerosol cans
No professional cameras (detachable lens)
No selfie sticks
No professional video or audio recording devices
No electronic equipment including computers, tablets, GoPro devices or tripods
No animals (except Service Animals)
No laser pointers
No balloons (air or helium)
No balls (footballs, basketballs, beach balls, etc.)
No strollers
No artificial noisemakers
No skateboards, scooters, hover boards or personalized vehicles
No guests without shoes or shirts
No large umbrellas (small compact umbrellas will be allowed after thorous inspection)
No drones
Any other items deemed unsafe by venue personnel
Additional items may be added on an event by event basis and dictated by event personnel

All guests are subject to a search of coats, bags, and will be required to be wanded or pass through a metal detector.

Guest Conduct Policy

Guests shall be respectful of all other guests, staff, performers, participants, officials, players, and venue property.
Guests shall follow the direction of all venue and event staff.
Guests shall refrain from saying or wearing items with threatening or abusive language or making obscene gestures.
Guests shall refrain from throwing objects.
Guests shall refrain from fighting, taunting, assaulting, or any other unwanted physical contact. Guests will refrain from any other behavior that will interfere with other guests’ ability to enjoy the event or staff’s ability to work.
Guests shall not enter the playing or performance area or interfere with an event in any manner.
Guests are prohibited from standing on seats or standing/sitting on other guests’ shoulders.
Guests consuming alcoholic beverages will do so in a legal and responsible manner.
Guests are not permitted to smoke, including vaping and e-cigarettes, inside The Dow Event Center and Event Park.
Guests are not permitted to engage in unsanctioned commercial or political activity while on The Dow Event Center premises.
Any other conduct deemed by Dow Event Center staff to be inappropriate to the peace and good order of events or which may adversely affect the safety of persons or property will be handled immediately by our staff and may result in an ejection.
Guests who fail to comply with The Dow Event Center code of conduct are subject to immediate ejection.
